Did you know? Any member of Omaha area Alcoholics Anonymous can attend an intergroup meeting and/or be a member of a standing committee, regardless of whether being a voting member at intergroup.
What is a voting member? To be counted as a member, a group must provide a representative, as well as contact information for that representative. All meetings (groups) in the area are invited to participate in the association. Notification has been made that eligible meeting must register with the Association. The secretary will take those registrations. Only registered meetings will have a voice in the association. Each group is allowed one voting representative.

Why serve?
A.A.’s Responsibility Statement:
I am responsible. When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, I want the hand of AA always to be there. And for that: I am responsible.
Getting Involved in A.A. Service:
A.A.’s Twelfth Step suggests that we carry the message of recovery. That is the basic service that A.A. provides. Any action that helps A.A. to function as a whole is service. Most A.A. members start out providing service in their group.
