Planning is already underway, and there are plenty of ways to help bring this year’s celebration together. Local A.A. members are always welcome to join the committee, lend a hand, or contribute to the event—check back as new opportunities to participate open throughout the fall.

About Committee

The Alcathon has been a cherished sober event for over 45 years, providing a fun and supportive way to celebrate the holidays and welcome the New Year. The event features fellowship, hourly meetings, inspiring speakers, engaging games, delicious food, and even a New Year’s Eve dance. Many groups also host meetings throughout the Alcathon, and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.

Attendance is free, though 7th Tradition contributions are gratefully accepted to help cover costs and keep this event alive. Contributions may be made out to the Omaha Central Office (please note “Alcathon” in memo).

This is a joint AA and Al-Anon Family Groups event, with speakers from both communities. Everyone is welcome! If you’re looking for a safe, supportive place to celebrate the New Year, we’d love to see you there.

September Intergroup Meeting Date ChangeAugust 26, 2025
