About Committee
The Alcathon has been a cherished sober event for over 45 years, providing a fun and supportive way to celebrate the holidays and welcome the New Year. The event features fellowship, hourly meetings, inspiring speakers, engaging games, delicious food, and even a New Year’s Eve dance. Many groups also host meetings throughout the Alcathon, and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.
Attendance is free, though 7th Tradition contributions are gratefully accepted to help cover costs and keep this event alive. Contributions may be made out to the Omaha Central Office.
This is a joint AA and Al-Anon Family Groups event, with speakers from both communities. Everyone is welcome! If you’re looking for a safe, supportive place to celebrate the New Year, we’d love to see you there.

- September Intergroup Meeting Date ChangeThe September Intergroup Meeting will be moved from Monday, September 1st to Monday, September 8th in observance of Labor Day. The meeting will be held at 7pm at the Hanscom Park United Methodist Church, 4444 Frances Street in Omaha.
